Say What You Need To Say

If you're familiar with John Mayer's music, yes the title of this blog is directly inspired by that his song, "Say What You Need To Say"

Some say time is relative, but as I get older, I realize just how important it is to say what is on my mind; particularly when it comes to matters of the heart.
Why should I keep it all to myself? ...after all, this isn't a political matter.
Why should I not say I care when I care?
What's wrong with being vulnerable?

Perhaps the answer to all of those questions is fear. Fear can paralyze, thus preventing someone or something from reaching it's full potential.

It's not easy to "say what you need to say" if you are standing up against a person of power or a system that wants to silence you on certain matters.
However, there is great power that comes with using your voice! Let your voice be heard.

This blog though, is more about feelings as it relates to love or caring deeply for someone.

For some, it's easier to care but pretend not to because if you care too much, you may get hurt.
So what happens when two people are unafraid to say they care about each other. What's the point of loving someone and not saying it?
What happens when someone hurts you unknowingly and you don't let them know you are hurting? resentment? anger? confusion from the unknowing party?

I will always say it when it comes to matters of the heart.

Say what you need to say
Say what you need to say
Say what you need to say
Say what you need to say

Have no fear for givin' in
Have no fear for givin' over
You better know that in the end
It's better to say too much
Than to never to say what you need to say again
